Join Us for the Alumnae Day of Service
Each year, Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School alumnae, students, faculty, and staff celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day by completing a Day of Service. Alumnae across the country spend time serving their local communities, and those in the Philadelphia area and their children (ages 4 and up) are invited to gather at Gwynedd to participate in activities to support the Cradles to Crayons Ready for Learning Campaign.
Please join us on Monday, January 16, 2023 to give back to your local community in honor of our Mercy roots on the second annual Alumnae Day of Service. Gather with your fellow alumnae, bring your family and friends, or do any of our service activities yourself. Local alumnae will gather at GMAHS between 10AM and 12PM. Can't make it in person? Join us remotely! Here's how: -
Drop off donations at GMA anytime before January 16 in the bin inside the front door.
-
Find a location to drop off donations for Cradles to Crayons in Philadelphia, Boston, and Chicago.
-
Make Back to School cards with your family and friends and send them to Cradles to Crayons at 4700 Wissahickon Avenue, Suite 142, Philadelphia, PA 19144. (They need 50,000 cards a year for the 50,000 backpacks they prepare each year!)
- Purchase items from the Cradles to Crayons wishlist and have them shipped directly to GMA.
- Donate to Strawberry Market.

Club members hosted a keychain/magnet sale in support of Native Women's Wilderness, an organization dedicated to combatting the crisis of murdered and missing Indigenous women in North America. The keychains and magnets, designed and made by students in-house using GMA's laser cutter, address the Mercy Critical Concerns of non-violence, women, and anti-racism.
